20 years of making complex events work.

Barter was founded in Barcelona in 2003 with a clear conviction: that the most valuable part of any professional event is not the stage — it's what happens between the right people.

2003 — FOUNDATION

Barter is founded in Barcelona by Jordi Montserrat and partners, with a focus on B2B networking and speaker management for professional events.

2008 — FIRST LARGE-SCALE EXPANSION

Barter takes on its first large-scale technical office mandate, managing speakers and programme for a national congress with 100+ sessions. The methodology is defined.

2013 — INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

Barter begins working with international event organisers, extending its technical office services to events outside Spain for the first time.

2018 — STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Barter establishes long-term partnerships with Fira Barcelona Internacional and Nebext, becoming the reference technical office for flagship events including Smart City Expo World Congress, HIP and Advanced Factories.

2024–2026 — GLOBAL SCALE

Barter manages 47+ professional events per year across Spain, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia — maintaining a 99% client retention rate across all long-term partnerships.
